The Clifton Water District was formed March 5, 1951 as a Special District within the laws of the State of Colorado. The Clifton Water District Service Area is described as an area east of 30 Road, west of 34 ½ Road, that is bounded on the south by the Colorado River and I-70 on the north in the unincorporated area of Mesa County between the City of Grand Junction and the Town of Palisade.
The Clifton Water District provides water service to over 13,700 residential and commercial units.
