Blow out your sprinklers and winterize – make sure to include backflow device (it may help to insulate this device as well).
Drain your swamp cooler and make sure to unhook the water line to the cooler – Make sure to cover the cooler with a weather resistant cover.
Make sure to close the garage door to avoid lines freezing. It only takes a few minutes for your lines to freeze.
Wrap any exposed water lines with heat tape.
Test your outside spigot by shutting it off, and verifying the remaining water drips out, leaving the line clear.
If you own a mobile home be sure to inspect your skirting around the trailer to make sure there are no gaps, so your pipes do not freeze.
