New Water Services / ADU Water Service
To purchase and establish a new water service (buying a "tap"), the property owner must provide the following documentation either via email to customerservice@cliftonwaterdistrict.org or in person at 510 34 Road Clifton, CO 81520:
- A copy of your valid building permit
- Proof of the availability of non-potable irrigation water (taps can be sold without providing proof of irrigation, but it will be sold without the irrigation discount)
- If installed, detailed inforamation of a qualifying greywater recycling system. (taps can be sold without proof of greywater recycling, but will be sold without the discount)
- Proof of ownership
District staff will calculate the tap fee based on board policy.
Upon receipt of payment (check, cash, or money/postal orders are the only accepted forms of payment for tap fees), staff will process the tap sale, and the District Water Service Agreement will be emailed out for review and signature(s).
Following receipt of the signed Water Service Agreement, staff will reach out to schedule the appointment for meter installation. Please be advised that tap sale processing can take up to 3 business days.
